Annamaria's interest in Play Therapy stems from 28 years of teaching in the Early Childhood Field.  Her knowledge and experience in child development and play development is extensive.  Over the years, Annamaria grew curious about the benefit of play through a therapeutic lens, soon embarking on a path in becoming a Registered Play Therapist.  Annamaria works closely with families in helping them understand how young children's brains develop and she also supports families in gaining a better understanding of their child and how they are making sense of their world.

Annamaria believes that every child has a right to feel safe, loved and understood; she strives to provide an environment where children can begin to heal and process the emotional challenges they are experiencing through therapeutic play. At her core, Annamaria believes building a relationship of trust and safety is foundational in empowering children to trust in themselves and in doing so feel more confident in themselves and strengthen their resilience.

  KIARA ZORDAN

Kiara is an experienced speech pathologist who strives to bring success and joy to all her clients. She is passionate about providing neurodivergent friendly care and ensuring that each child’s interests and quirks are incorporated into therapy sessions.

Kiara utilises her evidence-based clinical knowledge and skills to collaborate with the child’s family to ensure that functional goals are created and met. At Talking Tails Therapy we believe in working with families holistically through collaboration with caregivers and other professionals as it truly takes a village to raise a child ! 

Kiara is a child at heart  and understands that to work best with children, you need to engage with their interests and make therapy fun!

Kiara works alongside Peach the adorable and cheeky Groodle (golden retriever x poodle) to provide Animal Assisted Therapy. Kiara and Peach have been working together since 2022 and like magic, when they started working together children were as engaged as ever and it was clear that for some children, therapy was far more effective with the addition of a furry friend. Kiara and Peach are fully certified as a handler and therapy dog team through Mundy Dogs, although it depends on the day as to who is the boss of who. 

Kiara is passionate about early recognition of Autism Spectrum Disorder, and has trained extensively in assessing and implementing programs for both neurodiverse and neurotypical children. 

Kiara and Peach are PAWSitively overjoyed to meet you and help you on your therapy journey! Talking Tails Therapy can accept NDIS Plan and Self managed clients. We are set up to accept private paying clients, GP referrals and clients using private health rebates.

Maeven is a registered Educational and Developmental Psychologist in Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong, with more than 15 years of experience supporting children, young people, and families from the toddler years through to young adulthood.

She has worked across educational institutions, non-government organisations, and private clinics, providing psychological and psycho-educational assessments, intervention, consultation, and professional training. Maeven is passionate about helping children understand themselves, build on their strengths, and develop the skills they need to feel confident and thrive.

Maeven has extensive experience supporting children and families from diverse backgrounds, including those navigating Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and emotional and behavioural challenges. She takes a child-centred and strengths-based approach, recognising that every child is unique and that meaningful support begins with understanding the child within the context of their family, school, and community.

Maeven works closely with parents and educators to create supportive environments for children and has particular experience using the SCERTS® model to support autistic children and their families. She is also a certified trainer in Triple P (Positive Parenting Program), Circle of Security Parenting™ (COSP), and the Happy Parenting Program. Drawing on her expertise in parenting and attachment, she supports families to strengthen parent-child relationships, improve communication, and build greater confidence in their parenting journey.

Maeven believes that early support can make a meaningful difference. As a multilingual psychologist who speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, she is committed to providing culturally responsive and accessible support, working collaboratively with children, parents, and educators to help every child feel understood, supported, and empowered to reach their unique potential.

Edwin is a registered Educational and Developmental Psychologist in Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong, and a Board-Approved Supervisor. He has worked across medical and allied health clinics, schools, and community organisations, supporting children and families with a wide range of developmental, learning, behavioural, and emotional needs.

Edwin has a particular interest in working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences, including Autism, ADHD, Specific Learning Difficulties, and Intellectual Disability, as well as children experiencing anxiety and other emotional or mental health concerns. He works closely with children, parents, and educators to understand each child's unique strengths and needs and to develop practical strategies that help them feel supported, confident, and able to thrive.

As a multilingual psychologist who speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Edwin is able to work with families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. His approach combines evidence-based psychological practice with a neurodiversity-affirming perspective, recognising that every child is unique and deserves to be understood, respected, and supported for who they are.

Beyond his clinical work, Edwin is passionate about supporting the broader Autism and neurodiversity communities. He has contributed to early intervention and support initiatives, collaborated with community organisations, supervised trainee psychologists, and shared his clinical experience through university teaching and professional education.

Edwin believes that meaningful support begins with understanding. He is committed to working collaboratively with children, families, and educators to help each child build on their strengths, navigate challenges, and reach their potential in ways that are meaningful to them.
